Storyboarding started as a tool for music video directors who needed to pitch visual concepts to artists and labels in hours, not weeks. The original problem: every existing storyboard tool was either built for educators (stock characters, comic-style boards) or for post-production review (Frame.io). Nothing was built for the messy, fast, AI-augmented pre-production workflow that defines modern visual storytelling.

We use Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (Nano Banana) for instant scene generation and Veo 3 Fast for short video clips — the same models powering breakthrough AI products in 2026. We pair them with a Frame.io-style review workflow: per-scene comments, approval checkmarks with names, tokenized share links, and clean PDF + MP4 exports.
