Feature
Review storyboards as a team — comments, approvals, and notifications
Storyboard reviews used to mean a Google Doc full of timestamps and a Slack thread no one reads. Storyboarding rebuilds the workflow — every scene has its own comment thread, every team member can approve a scene with a green check, and external reviewers (clients, artists, execs) get tokenized links without an account. Built for the way creative teams actually work.
Per-scene comment threads
Click any frame and the side panel opens to its full comment thread. Team members reply, threads stay scoped to the scene they're about, and nothing gets lost. Threads are typed-as-you-go — your DP can leave a 2 AM note about lensing without context-switching to email.
Approval with green checkmarks
When a producer, artist, or creative director approves a scene, a green check appears in the top-right of the frame with their name. Multiple approvers stack with a count. Hover for the full list. The PDF export marks approved scenes; the editor flags unapproved scenes that still need review.
Tokenized share links for external reviewers
Brand contacts, artists, and execs hate signing up for new tools. Generate a tokenized share link from any storyboard or chapter — they get a URL with comment-only or view-only access. They can review without creating an account; the link expires in 30 days and can be revoked any time.
Team and project membership
Invite teammates as full team members (access to every project) or scoped to a single project (good for freelancers, contractors, brand partners). Owners and admins can invite, members can comment and approve, guests with view-only links see the storyboard without affecting permissions.
Frequently asked questions
Can external reviewers comment without creating an account?
Yes. Tokenized share links allow guest commenting (or view-only). They use the storyboard, leave their name, and comment on scenes — no signup.
How do approvals work?
Each scene has an Approve button. Click it; a green check with your name appears on the frame. Multiple team members can approve; the count stacks. Toggle off anytime.
Can I invite a freelancer to just one project?
Yes. Project-level invitations grant access to a single project without giving the invitee access to the rest of the team.
Are share links secure?
Yes — tokens are JWT-signed with a server secret, expire in 30 days, and can be revoked instantly from the share modal.
Can I @-mention teammates?
On the roadmap. For now, comments are threaded but not @-mention notified.
